Tired and weary

Can’t take one more step

My get-up-and-go

Has got up and went

I have to do this

I have to do that

When all I want to do

Is sit down and stand pat

But it takes just a moment

To give self-pity a shove

And change my “I have to”

To “I get to” . . . with love
